It’s not just a meme — it’s an emotional mechanic. In the face of unrealized gain, the mind reaches for reasons: It’s probably a scam. I’m waiting for a better entry. This isn’t real wealth anyway.

Cope is denial wrapped in logic. The narrative we tell ourselves to preserve dignity. In crypto, where moves are fast and gains are grotesque, coping becomes cultural currency. It's how we manage regret in public.

This piece honors that psychology. Not mockery — recognition. Everyone copes. Even the winners. Because in this space, someone always made more. Got in earlier. Sold higher.
