Bitcoin is the original meme coin_
Signal in Disguise
Before Doge. Before PEPE. Before wagmi, ruggers, and thousand-X coins, there was Bitcoin — the original meme coin. Not because it was silly, but because it was contagious. Because it spread not through institutions, but through culture.
Bitcoin didn’t sell itself with spreadsheets. It offered a story. A rebellion. A prophecy. It didn’t need permission — it needed belief.
This work honors that viral spirit. A financial system bootstrapped not by suits, but by symbols. The Genesis Block was both a technical feat and a message. “Chancellor on brink...” — not a pitch, but a meme.
Bitcoin is the meme that became money. It transformed belief into code, code into value, value into movement. Its volatility, its critics, its forks — all part of the mythos.
Every token that followed borrowed from its playbook. Hype. Humor. Hope. Bitcoin did it first. Bitcoin did it seriously. Bitcoin did it better.
