We begin fresh. No names, no reputation or fame. A pseudonymous art collective whose members and partners include an art historian (author of two books), a member of a legendary New York ballroom house, and a Parisian fashion label. We know a little about art, and we know that we know nothing.
e11_collective's trad art world thesis (under different names) is that visual art is beneficial and useful to many people, regardless of net worth and social position. Therefore it is reasonable that some high quality art could be produced in a way that is less exclusionary. We experiment with ways to make art that is more accessible without sacrificing facets like complexity and art historical context.
What truly distinguishes us is that some of our work is accessible enough to be owned by many rather than the few. The same artwork collected by a world-famous rock star with multiple platinum records also enriches the walls of young people in their first apartment. Teachers, students, restaurant and construction workers; many embrace our work. This breadth of inclusion is rare and unusual in the traditional art world.
Physical art is so entwined with the global art market that it often distorts and overshadows the meaning of the work. This is why artists have sometimes been sceptical of, or even against, the market. Our work subverts this longstanding art world structure. We are not suggesting every artist produce some of their work more accessibly but if many of the leading ones did, we believe it would be a net improvement for the art industry and our planet's culture.

e11_◼️ is one of the signature marks of e11_collective. Our seals intentionally blur the line between art and luxury, often serving as logos in the context of our projects.
The marks represent our innovative solutions to the enduring problem of exclusion within the traditional art market. We propose the idea of producing some art in larger quantities, something like open editions, following the model of luxury goods, which serve millions of people, rather than thousands or hundreds typical of art. Naturally, this proposition challenges and stirs controversy within the established art realm.
The e11_collective seals are symbols of free thinking and experimentation resisting the orthodox status quo that fails to engage with the majority of humanity. Many of our values align with cryptocurrency’s philosophical principles in relation to the traditional finance world.
